Varina is a female icon of street selling. This statue will come to life at the Mindelact Festival, in homage to the people of the sea.
HELENA REIS
Helena Reis has been a live statue performer since 1999. Received national and international awards over almost 20 years, including the title World Champion, in 2012, at the International Festival of Living Statues World Statues Festival in Arnhem, Netherlands.

THE PROPOSAL
The Hybrid was created in the last few weeks - with the collaboration of the amazing Chris Harris (drag queen - American), Anna Papathanasiou (performer - Greek), Annick Lavallée-Benny (set design - Canadian) and Klara (set designer - German). The performance was created during theDiscover Watermill Day, with over 30 performances and installations, selected and supervised by Bob Wilson.
